Live Chat with Plowshare’s Gary Anderson

Gary Anderson is the Artistic Director of Plowshares Theatre Company. He has worked on world premieres and established plays for over 25 years. As a director, Gary has worked in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Denver and Houston. Throughout his career, he has worked with choreographer George Faison, playwrights Charles “Oyamo” Gordon, Ron Milner, and August Wilson, producer Woodie King, Jr. and actresses Denise Nicholas, Ella Joyce and Stephanie Mills. Among his credits are Woza Albert, Zooman and the Sign, Pill Hill, The Piano Lesson, Buses, I Am A Man and Two Trains Running.

He is also started the Black Theatre Matters Blog (blacktheatrematters.org) to “aise the profile of African American artists and Black Theatre both here and abroad.”
